“I really enjoyed visiting Ambers store, I got to see some of her work and really loved it”

– Elizabeth

Ever since Amber was a child, art has been an integral part of her life. Growing up along the coastline of southern Massachusetts only served to amplify her admiration for seasonally-changing splendor. Art history studies gave way to re-kindled passion for painting today – all thanks to growing up surrounded by creative people who taught lessons on beauty found everywhere.

After more than fifteen years with the North River Arts Society and various institutions, workshops, and self-study endeavors such as re-reading lessons from iconic artist-teachers like Emile Gruppe, John F. Carlson & Harold Speed.

In Episode 45 of Inside the Frame, Amber Waterhouse joins the podcast for a lively conversation about collecting, curating, and creating spaces where art feels approachable. Amber, owner of Waterhouse—a thoughtfully curated antique and art gallery in Hingham—shares her passion for helping people start their journey into collecting original art and her mission to break down the barriers that often hold them back.
