On Leap Day 2024\, SSAC invites you to leap back in time to the 1980s and dance all night. For one-night-only\, our galleries will morph into an 80’s-era Caribbean nightclub. So don those oversized tees and tease your hair or dress as your favorite 1980’s music icon – just make sure you arrive ready to shake it up on the dance floor. Nibbles and beer/wine/specialty rum drinks included.\n\nSHAKE IT UP was inspired by Under the Volcano (2021)\, that documents the iconic AIR Studios\, from which Sir George Martin produced the most iconic sounds from the 1980s\, including Duran Duran\, Culture Club\, Dire Straits and The Police. This music and other hits from MTV’s golden era will be the soundtrack for the evening! Fittingly\, all proceeds from SHAKE IT UP will directly support South Shore Art Center’s seminal Artist-in-Residence (or AIR) program which we offer\nFREE to 2000 elementary students annually.\n  \n  \nAIR –> AIR = a darn good time at SSAC!\n  \nTickets are $ 125.00 per person:\nClick here to Purchase Tickets
