DESCRIPTION:The Copley Society of Art is proud to host a combined reception for  this year’s Fall Members Show: Abundance as well as the solo exhibition of work by Alfred De Angelo: Something We Imagined. \nJoin artist member\, Alfred De Angelo as he utilizes Surrealism to look ‘through’ appearances and embody the essential mysteries of existence. \nAdditionally\, join our member artists as they celebrate the season of Autumn through their various interpretations of our theme\, Abundance. \nJoin us in the Upper and Lower Galleries on Thursday\, October 10th from 5:00 – 7:00PM for the opening reception of these exhibitions at 158 Newbury Street in Boston. Admission is free.

In their own individual styles\, they each capture the unique beauty of the Maine landscape.  \nReflecting their varied careers as art instructors\, painters and designers\, they offer their own unique perspective and vision to their interpretation of Mid-Coast Maine\, from the dramatic shores of Pemaquid Point to the light filled beauty of Christmas Cove. The camaraderie of painting together combined with their mutual love of the immediacy of the painting outdoors\, on location\, keeps this group of painters returning year after year to this much-loved location along the Maine Coast. \nOpening Reception: Friday\, October 11\, 5:30-7:30pm
